Ayas is a comune in the Aosta Valley region of north-western Italy.
It is made up of several frazioni (literally "fractions"), the two major ones being Antagnod which holds the town hall and the main parish, and Champoluc. The comune of Ayas lies up the Ayas valley from Brusson. All the frazioni of Ayas were combined under the one jurisdictional parish of S. Martino de Antagnod in 1761. They remained combined in this way until the new parish of S. Anne of Champoluc was built in 1946. Some other frazioni of the valley include Cornu, Lignod, Periasc, Magnechoulaz, Bisous, Magneaz, Mascognaz, Champlan, Frachey, and at the upper end of the valley, St. Jacques.
